Arianna Ragusa was a junior chemistry major with a forensics minor at St. John’s University in Queens, NY. She became interested in chemistry in my sophomore year of high school. She currently has a 3.98 overall GPA and is the Recruitment Chair on the executive board of Theta Phi Alpha and a Chemistry Peer Tutor at St. John’s; where she runs an hour long session for freshmen chemistry students once a week, where they can ask any questions they have from class and we go over practice examples. She would like to pursue a MS degree in chemistry and to one day work in the field of forensic chemistry. She will be working with Drs. Pennington and Garcia on the project X-panded polyiodides and their applications as deep eutectic solvents.
